Hello again and welcome to Creative Connections! I love taking pictures and wanted to share a select few from past events. Please enjoy these archived photos from November and December 2008. A great big thank you to those that participated!
Story Walk at the Tree Lighting Ceremony (November 2008)
We partnered with Walkable Reading and the Reading Public Library to share winter themed stories. Creative Arts created signs for story locations while our theater students 'theatrically' read them. It was a freezing cold day but we prevailed! Hot chocolate, provided by the Hot Spot, helped.
In this photo, Kirsten Brown and two theater students brave the deteriorating elements to read Rain Song, Snow Song in front of The Hot Spot.
Next up: Shop the Block (December 2008)
Our music students performed during the event and stores involved loved, loved, LOVED the variety of live music.
Here's Roald kicking off the evening by playing festive tunes on the accordion. Where's the polka bubbles a-la Lawrence Welk?

...and The Chocolate Truffle (sadly, no picture). Music students (adult, Amy Imrich, and kids) played a variety of music from Minuets and Sonatinas to Christmas carols and fiddle tunes!
AND...who can forget The Little Mermaid performance during February vacation?
Cast and crew worked hard during the week and, based on the final performance, it showed!
For next week: Scenes from The Surprising Story of the Three Little Pigs.
Have a great April vacation!
Great photos!
